Bridal Guide to Gingham

Gingham is this season’s biggest trend, and why shouldn’t it be? This nostalgic print is the essential summertime fabric that immediately turns our focus to warm days at the park or beach. We couldn’t be more on board with this trend’s resurrection! While we are used to seeing gingham crosshatched with bright blues and reds (for a total Americana look we adore), we are really falling for the tonal versions of this checkered print. This couldn’t be a more perfect solution for the bride-to-be looking to tap into this summer’s fashion moment. Whether in romper or sundress form, taupe and grey gingham brings sophistication to this playful print. Venue permitted, we love the idea of this style being incorporated for an outdoor bridal shower or engagement party and continued to be worn all summer long.

We understand that some might not be quite on board with ‘picnic apparel’ from head to toe, but still want to take part in the gingham trend. Lucky for you, several accessories are lending themselves to gingham quite well. Sandals or slides look adorable paired back to a white ensemble. We are also loving the hats, scarves and belts popping up just begging to be worn with crisp white.

Gingham, either worn as a statement or incorporated as a detail of your outfit, definitely can be worked into the wedding wardrobe. Here are some of our favorite pieces for the brides out there that want to ‘check out’ one for a bridal occasion this summer.
